The life of an event manager is very stressful, especially for massive companies! I have had a hard time over the past few years, especially when I was given a tight budget to work with. My next project was, thank God, based on a large budget and I could afford myself the luxury of negotiating with CAA speakers to get one of their celebrity speakers, motivational speakers, inspirational, or keynote speakers (the info could go on here!) to talk at the event. So we negotiated the offer and I let them know exactly what type of speaker I was after. They knew what they were doing when they made the selection process a lot easier for me. I have to say though that the price was very much on the expensive side as travel costs weren’t included and that adds up!
