Sam Foti Donates Art Works to the American College

Sam Foti added significantly to the prestige and social standing of the MONY Life Insurance Company, when it started contributing towards the noble missions of the educational institutions of national repute. In 2004, the MONY Life donated to The American College some 60 works of art, prepared by celebrated and well known artists from all over the country.  This donation was made at the important juncture of appointment of the College’s new President and CEO.  The College boasted of the treasured possession of art pieces by putting them on display at The Gregg Conference Centre.

On this occasion,  Samuel J. Foti remarked that MONY Life Insurance Company was proud of making the donation to the financial education institution, especially on the eve of appointment of Dr. Bartons as its President and CEO. Through this gesture of goodwill,  Samuel Foti  envisaged to enrich the outlook and career of professionals, graduating from the financial service institutions. He believed that the art works would inspire the creativity and thoughtfulness amongst the future leaders. This importance of the gifts was rightly acknowledged by Marjorie Fletcher, the Curator of The American College, saying that it was ‘overwhelming’ and provided a unique opportunity to the residents of Philadelphia area to have quality art pieces within their vicinity.
